Ticket Terms & Conditions

By purchasing tickets for the Holy Trinity Church Idle Bonfire, you agree to the following Ticket Terms & Conditions.

1. Tickets and admission

Tickets are valid only for the event and date shown on the ticket.

Please check your order carefully before completing payment and check your booking confirmation as soon as it is received.

It is the purchaser's responsibility to ensure that the correct number and type of tickets have been ordered.

Tickets may be electronic or printed and may be checked or scanned on admission.

2. Family Tickets

A Family Ticket is sold as a single ticket package and must be used as such.

Individual admissions forming part of a Family Ticket cannot be separated and individually transferred or resold.

A complete unused Family Ticket may be transferred to another family or household, subject to these terms.

3. Refunds, booking errors and duplicate purchases

Tickets are non-refundable if you change your mind or are subsequently unable to attend.

If you believe that you have accidentally placed a duplicate order, purchased an incorrect number or type of tickets, or made another booking error, you must contact us as soon as reasonably possible and before the event takes place.

Where we are notified before the event, we may, at our discretion, correct or refund a genuine duplicate purchase or booking error.

Once the event has taken place, refunds will not be provided for unused tickets, duplicate orders, incorrect quantities or other booking errors where the tickets purchased were valid and available for use at the event.

The fact that a ticket was not used does not, by itself, entitle the purchaser to a refund.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

4. Ticket transfers and resale

If you are unable to attend, you may transfer a complete ticket to another person.

Family Tickets may only be transferred as a complete Family Ticket and must not be divided into individual admissions for transfer or resale.

Tickets must not be resold for more than their original purchase price.

Tickets purchased primarily for resale, or tickets transferred or resold contrary to these terms, may be cancelled and admission may be refused.

5. Cancellation by the organiser

If the event is cancelled by Holy Trinity Church Idle and does not take place, purchasers will be entitled to a refund of the ticket price.

Refunds will be made to the original payment method wherever reasonably possible.

6. Postponement or rescheduling

If circumstances require the event to be postponed or moved to another date, existing tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled event.

If you are unable to attend the rescheduled date, you may request a refund of the ticket price within any reasonable deadline communicated by the organisers.

7. Weather

The Bonfire is an outdoor event and will normally proceed in wet, cold or inclement weather.

Adverse weather will not automatically result in cancellation and refunds will not be provided simply because of poor weather.

The safety of visitors, volunteers, contractors and event staff is our priority. Holy Trinity Church Idle reserves the right to cancel, postpone, suspend or alter the event where weather conditions or other circumstances make it unsafe or impractical to proceed.

8. Changes to the event

We reserve the right to make reasonable changes to the event programme, timings, attractions, entertainment or other arrangements where circumstances require.

Such changes will not normally entitle ticket holders to a refund unless the event itself is cancelled or rescheduled.

9. Conduct and safety

Visitors must follow reasonable instructions given by event organisers, stewards, security personnel and emergency services.

We reserve the right to refuse admission or require a person to leave the event where their behaviour presents a risk to themselves or others, causes unreasonable disruption, or they fail to follow reasonable safety instructions.

No refund will normally be provided where admission is refused or a person is required to leave because of their conduct.

10. Children and supervision

Children attending the event must be appropriately supervised by a responsible adult.

Parents, guardians and accompanying adults remain responsible for children in their care throughout the event.

11. Personal belongings

Visitors are responsible for their own personal belongings while attending the event.

We cannot accept responsibility for loss of or damage to personal belongings except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Circumstances beyond our control

There may be circumstances beyond our reasonable control which affect the operation of the event, including severe weather, emergency situations, restrictions imposed by public authorities, failure of essential services or other unforeseen circumstances.

Where this occurs, we will take reasonable steps to communicate any significant changes to ticket holders and will deal with cancellation or rescheduling in accordance with these terms and applicable consumer law.

13. Card payments and payment disputes

If you believe there is an error with your payment or booking, please contact us as soon as possible so that we have an opportunity to investigate and, where appropriate, resolve the matter.

These terms do not limit any rights you may have under applicable consumer law or through your card provider.

14. Statutory rights

Nothing in these Ticket Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any rights or remedies which cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including your statutory consumer rights.
